SWEET

this class so far has been really educating. Im learning a lot about things i never thought i would ever be able to. im not very good with computers so this has become very exciting for me. i tend to have a hard time putting things together in a cohesive way but based on my stop action project i am only further motivated to excell and create some pretty cool pieces of work.

Slide Show

the slide show project in the beginning of the semester was kind of difficult for me. i had this original idea in mind and using the pictures that i had i comprised a video based on that to the best of my ability. the problem is it becomes hard to create something with original intentions because when youre done you need to view it as if you do not understand any of it. i wasnt able to remove myself completely from the project which decreased the effectiveness. my slideshow was a story that started with terrorism and money. thereafter an escape in which a search was started to track where they might have gone. i show pictures of different places and the globe a few times to suggest that. I dont know how well that worked but at the end Superman saves the day. haha.

Video Project

This project has to be youtube inspired, so i began thinking about what youtube means to me. i am constantly on youtude. it is an endless source of information, both useful and completely ridiculous. what i have started doing is compiling a bunch of videos that i think would work well as one video. i am using a large spectrum of material mainly for entertainment purposes because that is what i gain the most out of using youtube. it has to be roughly 5 minutes long so i have to be careful about the material. hopefully it can just keep the viewer captivated and a 5 minute presentation will feel instant.

Final Cut

For this project i decided to take a series of pictures with my camera and create a stop action movie of some kind that showed my shoes specifically walking around opening doors, without any help. i plan to incorperate gnarley sound effects to make it seem other worldly.---advancements---the project is successful i feel and due to the databases for sound i was really able to add a humorous vibe to the project. i tried to move the camera around instead of keeping it as steady as possible. it added a busy feeling which was not at all confusing but in my opinion exciting and is what keeps the viewer interested. i ended up with a total of about 280 pictures. i found myslef having to take and retake a lot of the shot. it became a lot more time consuming than i gave it credit for, but nevertheless i am pleased with the outcome.
who i be.
hey hey My name is Phil, I'm a junior and a fine arts major. this is my 3rd semester here and I'm pretty excited about everything this year. rugby season for one, and warm weather. First Assignment

WELL THIS ISNT THE EXACT ASSIGNMENT BUT FOR THE FIRST LEGITIMATE PROJECT I HAVE AN IDEA TO JUST DO A TYPICAL DAY IN MY LIFE SOMETHING THAT CAN DOCUMENT ME AND PRETTY ACCURATELY DESCRIDE WHAT IT IS THAT KEEPS ME MOVING....caps??

Inspiration

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_type=&search_query=muto&aq=fyou have to check this out.this is a definite source of inspiration for wanting to take a class like this. i am into a lot of public, and street art. i enjoy researching graffiti artists and their abilities to make an impact on lifestyles and the world around them. and i plan on using a style similar to this in future projects.
